I came across this thread and it brought smiles to my face. Lovely memories as a read through them from my childhood.

Here are a few of my own of what it used to be and what it is now:

A liquor store at the Golden Mile - before the mall was enclosed-where the movie theatres are now
The fun house on Broad street- that was fun going there
Double Decker Restaurant - south Albert - Melrose Place now (great burgers)
Fun and Games arcade - south Albert -Skara Restaurant is now
Debbie's Icecream parlour- south Robins Donuts is now (near Skara)
Minds Eye Arcade - during the initial few years of Southland Mall
Galaxy 3 Arcade - approx 11th Ave and Rose Street
Palisade Park Arcade - parking lot of north Canadian Tire
Guys and Dolls Arcade/Pool Hall - Victoria Avenue (Lou used to own it)
Oriental Bowl Restaurant - Albert and 7th Avenue (empty lot now)
Danny Donuts - Albert St across from Dewdney Avenue McDonalds
5th Avenue Tea Room - Fish and chips specialist
