Like it or not, cities are defined, to a degree, by their skylines. Let's face it, Tulsa has more buildings over 500 feet than OKC, or San Antonio.

....and downtown Tulsa is among the most boring downtowns in existence. It also has more skyscrapers over 500 ft than Nashville, Austin or Portland (among others). I'll take any of those downtowns over Tulsa's any day, and I think most people would agree with me there. Which is not to be mean to Tulsa, it's a surprisingly nice place. But this fixation with tall buildings gets ridiculous at a certain point.
