Work underway on Stoneleigh residential tower
For the first time in almost four years construction crews are back at work at the Stoneleigh Tower Residences in Dallas' Uptown district.
Work on the 22-story condo building slammed to a halt in 2008 when the recession hit and the developers couldn't get financing to continue.
The current owner - developer Mehrdad Moayedi - bought the partly constructed high-rise out of bankruptcy in 2010. He recently got a $25.3 million loan from Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Co. to finish the project.
On Friday morning construction workers were on the site and a construction elevator was in place on the front of the 75-unit luxury residential building.
