There was a great piece on this building in a copy of the Daily News today, but they still get some details wrong. It doesn't have the highest residence in the western hemisphere.

High life: First look inside the $60,000 per month penthouse at New York by Gehry

Quote:

It’s the bathroom at the top of the world.

From the tub in the penthouse of the New York by Gehry skyscraper on Beekman St., you can see to the Catskill Mountains. As you wash your face at the sink, you can look in the mirror and see the rising One World Trade. And as you lather up in the shower, take a gander at the Woolworth Building.

It’ll cost $45,000 to $60,000 a month to live in the penthouses in the tower, which offers the ultimate bragging right: there is no higher apartment in the Western hemisphere.

"You're higher than the helicopters up here," said Cliff Finn, president of New Development Marketing at Citi Habitats, charged with renting the three 850-foot-high units. "These are the best apartments in the top rental building in the world by the top architect in the world.”
