"in the Canvas Cathedral with the Steeple of Light" I wonder what this means.....do you suppose there was a large searchlight?

Frank Lloyd Wright designed the a Steeple of Light for the Community Christian Church in KC, MO, in 1940. The "steeple of light" did not actually materialize until rather recent history but I don't know if it was a hot topic at the time. Additionally, the use of searchlights as advertisement was all too common even until the '70 as these lights were permanent fixtures at most major auto dealers.
