Ohio's statehouse is somewhat boring because it's so old. Greek Revival isn't really exciting, and it wasn't until post-Civil War that capitol buildings started to be built in the more Neoclassical style, like what you'll find in Indiana or Michigan. Plus, Ohio really was still very much the "frontier" at the time of construction of the Statehouse, so it naturally wasn't going to end up as elaborate as the ones in more-developed states.
