The way it's described it sounds like a destination with the beer garden or brewpub and restaurants, bars and shops. A bookend to the Pearl. Then I read that it will be a gated community?!
I guess I can understand the perks being closed off somehow from the public (pool, spa, gym), but doesn't that take the neighborhood out of urban neighborhood. It might feel a little like West Berlin. Where as Clay Street and St. Benedict seem to be embracing their neighborhoods, almost inviting them in.
I guess I need to see the plans, but does anyone else think this is odd?
