Vinson Drive, which is on the other side of the tracks from there, is my bike route to downtown. I cut over to St. Elmo from there and ride down to Congress. I've noticed lately that at least a handful of new houses are being built in that area. There was a 1-story duplex on Emerald Forest just before it turns into Vinson. It was torn down and they're still working on building a 2-story replacement. There was another tear down at Mount Vernon and Casey at that crazy hill on the corner. We were by there about 2 weeks ago and they were doing the groundwork for something.

One of the first houses my aunt and uncle lived in after getting married was on Philco, but I think it was a bit closer to Manchaca. They didn't live there long, though. They were bouncing back and forth between Austin and Colorado.
