Thirty-five years ago I traveled all over Mexico. At that time I was shocked by the amount of barbed wire surrounding homes.

At that time there was none of that in Los Angeles.

Today in Los Angeles we see more and more heavily guarded homes surrounded by fences topped by barbed wire.

Interesting...eh.
