This latest floor took a shocking 4 weeks to pour.

15+ months into contruction and we have 7 floors, no glass, no exterior floors complete.

I honestly don't know how the Floodgate will be done within their stated timeframe, given they will have far less space to work with when compared to the Canopy Hotel. Add one more month of time to this project and they will have lapsed the same timeframe it took for the Frost Tower to be topped out. Added to that, is the additional 1 year of contruction that am not including because of sporadic construction periods the Canopy project underwent in its first year of contruction (February 2017 - February 2018). With so many minor projects (which adds up to a lot) ongoing in and around downtown, slowed contruction presents a major problem. A reminder, the Alamo redevelopment project has yet to start construction, including, not far from its location, the Hemisfair redevelopment and the JMJ Tower (Villita Tower).

I don't know if any of you have been downtown lately, but it is a big mess. More than ever is the need to build for the future instead of the now. Build short structures that take 3 years to build, or build taller, more complex structures in similar timeframes.
