Except there's probably nothing ominous about it, because they presumably aren't going to screw up the project like the millennium people did with theirs (they put an extra heavy reinforced concrete building on a foundation type that's used for lighter steel frame buildings).

Also, it's built directly over bedrock instead of deep landfill, which is nice. Not that a mat foundation is a bad choice for landfill (tons of existing towers in SF have that kind of foundation), as long as the building isn't too heavy for it.
