Sorry for tangent but you mentioned COASTER and wondered if u knew of any comprehensive planning to deal with north of SD issues (mid term disaster).
The failing bluffs have already taken lives recently and I just wonder about what they will do with a major rail link propped up with some shoring and gravel along the stretch past Torrey Pines, Del Mar and beyond.
Seen it and walked it half a dozen visits. Worried.

That's just a little bit out of my expertise, but I'm told the plan is to eventually have a tunnel most of Del Mar. The issue up until now has been funding, it would cost about $2 billion dollars and SANDAG doesn't have the money for that right now.
