There are plenty of white people in the SGV. Pasadena, the largest city in the SGV, is 48% white and 'only' 18% Asian. South Pas is 50% white, Altadena is 53%, Monrovia 54%, Azusa 50%, Sierra Madre 72%, Glendora 66%...etc.
Like most of CA, there aren't many Black people in the SGV, but there are some pockets. Altadena, for example, is 18% Black. Not a huge percentage or gross number, but in the context of California, that's pretty substantial.
