It looks like this was built by Prophet for a profit...the ad above appeared in the LAT from April 30, 1953, through the summer, until it was reported sold on October 18:
But the house wasn't getting its due love yet...it was on the market again by March 14, 1954:
Fred and June Prophet also had a house in Palm Springs at 417 Hermosa Place...which, per the LAT on October 18, 1953, they had just sold to Leo Spitz, head of production at Universal.
PLUS, A NEW CHALLENGE...if it was ever built. It looks like the Prophets were looking for something more over-the-top. From a book I have here on my shelf--
