Stop 3 - Puerto Varas, Chile
Puerto Varas is a city in the Lakes Region of Chile that was founded by German immigrants in 1853 and this is reflected in the architecture of the city and also in a large part of the population who are descendants of the original settlers. To reach Puerto Varas you need to fly into the city of Puerto Montt and then take a 30 minutes shuttle van ride from the airport. I stayed here for 4 nights.

While i was in Puerto Varas i took a half day tour to Frutillar, another city founded by German immigrants

and then i took a day trip to the famous Petrohué Waterfalls and Lake Llanquihue
