Project Description
The bypass plan features new roads, service roads and overpasses that will make traveling around Regina faster and safer.
A twinned highway begins at Highway 11 northwest of Regina, and continues south to Highway 1.
The bypass route runs approximately 5 km south of Highway 1, past Tower Road, before re-connecting with Highway 1 on the east of Regina. The project will also include three overpasses at Pilot Butte Access Road, Highway 48 at White City, and Highway 46 at Balgonie.
The contractor, once selected, will design, build, finance, operate and maintain the project over a 30-year period. Construction of the bypass is anticipated to take three and a half years and the P3 model is expected to deliver the project on time and on budget.
