In Ottawa, we could probably release an RFQ for the
Kanata extension within a year should funding be secured. The
Barrhaven extension isn't far behind.
Gatineau's proposal hasn't advanced too much so far; they are still studying and consulting on the options to go all rail or a hybrid (one LRT branch and one BRT branch), along with the solution for the Ottawa portion (tunnel under Sparks or surface along Wellington). I would estimate, at the very least, two years before they are ready for RFQ, should funding be secured.
