Boston Properties (NYSE: BXP) is advancing plans to build a multifamily tower in Cambridge, CEO Owen Thomas said on the company’s third-quarter conference call Friday.
The project at 88 Ames St. will be a 22-story tower with 274 apartment units, spanning 164,000 square feet with up to 16,000 square feet of ground-floor retail.
The tower will be located on a parcel immediately adjacent to Boston Properties’ existing Cambridge Center East Garage and across Ames Street from the Broad Institute.
