Couldn't agree more, but certain people seem more interested in making the Alamo more like the movies than actually doing something interesting with one of the most unique public spaces in the country. Go to the newspaper website and search for "alamo plaza" and you'll find three or four op-eds by their editorial board and others advocating the removal of those buildings.
