We relocated to SE Asia from China last year. It was over 100˚F beginning in February this year. Nasty hot, puts Houston to shame. I miss China sometimes...but now I can use Google and stuff without having to get on a VPN, so there's that.

It depends on the time of year or wind direction coming off the Gulf of Mexico, but Austin can rival Houston in humidity. In fact as I checked right now at 10:15 a.m. Austin's humidity is 74% while Houston's is currently 70%. Not a big difference but it does show that it can be just as bad. Other factors from year to year play a part such as overall rainfall over the summer months.
