The SoFoZoCo strikes!! The South of Foster Zoning Committee, wasn't that a Led Zeppelin album? They want to downzone the area between Foster, broadway, lawrence, and clark just as the city is pouring billions in transit upgrades to the redline near there.
Their website is ridiculous, they have maps showing half of their neighborhood as out of character with their neighborhood
They want to ban everything except single family houses and 2 flats, even though half of the area has larger buildings, that were there 100 years. They want to help control escalating home and rental prices, by making it harder to build housing in their area. Sure, that makes alot of sense.
I really hope the alderman doesn't go along with this. This area needs to get denser, after we invest all this money on the red line there.
