To suppliment my pension until I fully retire in a few years, I'm a manager at Public Storage. I see folks moving to Austin at least a few times per week. Today I rented to 2 people who just arrived from Lubbuck, 4 from Los Vegas, 1 from Chicago, and 2 from Dallas, all with their tired Uhauls. 9 people just moved to Austin on my 7 hour watch. All tranfered with their companies, one said he works for General Motors but I don't recall a GM around here. One of the guys from Dallas is originally from Venezuela. He said he is a huge soccer fan who is planning on getting season tickets to all the Austin FC games.
The family from Vegas said there was once a time when it was affordable to live there. After doing their research, they chose the Austin area over their other options. Just saying...I'm one person, in 7 hours, welcoming 9 new people to Austin. Must be something going on around here...
