That's what's always appealed to me about Philly-style rowhouses (or
a Toronto equivalent) - I want my own modestly sized freehold property, without the maintenance of a detached house with a big yard.

I'm in Chicago right now and I was actually surprised at the number of (true) rowhouses along the lakefront neighbourhoods. Though I know they get pretty rare farther out.
