When I was going to school - on the nasty -30 days or windy snow days when it’s not worth it to take transit and freeze in the stops I would park underground health sciences and walk through the skywalks and tunnels all the way to the other side of campus (an extra 20-30 minutes) versus walk outside. No one uses them in the summer as people like Vitamin D and our campus outside is beautiful. Without those skywalks and tunnels though - I’d recommend friends who are entering college to probably do their college experience in a warmer climate. My pattern of doing this is not an anomaly and most underground parkades on campus would be maxed out. If we have heated bus stops I’d definitely rethink my pattern as would a ton of students. This BRT system is going to make immense changes to people’s transportation patterns in this city.
