I just stumbled across this link on the Newfoundland Reddit page regarding Street Cars,
The streetcar system was dismantled in 1948. Geoff Stirling bought the streetcars themselves, and sold them off as summer cabins and work sheds." I wonder if any of them have survived to this day? Doubtful I guess
