It is interesting to see how many of the proposals for SoPo Square, err, True North Square, called for way less density than what ultimately materialized. The project really just seemed to grow and grow as things went on.

It's too bad that Confusion Corner tower didn't proceed but in some ways it seemed almost too good to be true. It looks very central European, it's easy to imagine a tower like that being built on a suburban tram line somewhere in Germany or Poland.

It's cool to see that the Richardsons have clearly been exploring a range of options for developing their land along Portage E. and Lombard. One big new project could get the ball rolling on more activity in that part of downtown.
