I guess you could have informed the Georgian tourist that the Alamo was moved to its' present location from south Roosevelt Avenue near Riverside Park.
I had an out of towner tell me that he couldn't believe how small the Alamo was. I suppose that after such a build up of the Alamo in movies and from lore and such that in his mind it was gonna be a huge place.
In any case, there were no urban places around in 1836 so what else could they expect in the middle of 2 million people where there stood nothing but prairie?
