It's a little different experiencing it in person, IMO. Whenever I see it in person, it hurts my brain a little. And up close, it just looks so cheap. It looks like it's made of cardboard.

There are some uglier buildings in Denver though. I'll see if I can come up with some good candidates. :)

I detest this building, primarily because it looks like the builders accidentally used drawings made by the architect's five-year-old son rather than those the architect himself drew up. No harmony of materials, no harmony of space or massing, random-ass window placement, shitty fake cornice, and that thing on the side that looks like an ambulance bay... which is only appropriate though, because they tore down an historic African-American hospital to build this eyesore. Plus, let's not forget that luscious moat of parking. This building is shit, and considering that this is a city which daily endures the presence of the US Cellular Center, not to mention a glut of ugly hotels cheaply constructed in the acclaimed Charlotte Boring style of architecture, that's saying a lot.

Oh my! I... I do not understand. How? How did this happen? lol

The worst building in Denver for me is that stupid One Lincoln Park thing that looks like it was designed while high.

It seems heavily under renovation.

Also, can't be an ugly buildings list without Laval's clocktower:

If we’re going to bring back “gems” from the Ugly Canada Thread we shouldn’t forget about the multicoloured vomit known as The Venetian.

How is that ugly, it looks to be built in the late 1700s or early 1800s in the Jeffersonian style. Its a pretty good looking building to me, other than that balcony door which should be replaced with an historically accurate door.

Ah yes. That funny hat it's wearing is not only hopelessly out of style but it's a few sizes too big.

What about the Tetris Building? Oh man, I hate that building (although some people actually like it for some reason). And it also wears a funny hat:

What do you guys think? Is it just me? Am I crazy? I think it's pretty hideous.

LOL! That's still way better than our tetris building, IMO.

Although, apparently when a real estate company needs to lease some space, they're somehow able to come up with a photo that makes the building look kinda, sorta, almost attractive:

Denver's second class at most things. But we're first class at ugly buildings!

The insides fantastic but what the hell was the architect thinking when he designed the exterior.

Quite literally a center for higher learning given its elevated position, the national library of Argentina is well known for its unappealing exterior.

:haha: yeah that’s abysmal. Why must all libraries look either ridiculous or like a jail (or in the one in Argentina’s case both). Here’s the national library of Kosovo

I believe we have a post potentially winning the worst photos ever. Bad HDR might be the worst fad introduced this century. Just stop it people. Just stop it.
