Eulogy for the odd, misused building that this tower is replacing.
It was 116 years old, and was probably among the last all-wood buildings in lower Manhattan. It deserved a better end, I think. http://www.yimbynews.com/wp-content/...ps-777x528.png |
^ They probably could have moved it to become a welcome center somewhere in a park, but it really has no place in modern age NY, despite how historic it is.
