^^I looked at the building web cams yesterday morning and they appeared nearly ready to make another pour but I couldn't be sure. I thought they'd wait until today. But it happened in the last 24 hours . . . and there's still a fleet of cement trucks around the building: Pouring columns for floor 8?. But they are already putting up the forms for floor 8 also.

https://app.oxblue.com/open/clarkconstruction/block5 This has a much better view.

Pedestrian Jun 16, 2017 6:49 PM

^^But that view didn't show the cement trucks, which you only see when they are actively pouring and I wanted to show.

A couple of views of Park Tower if you haven't seen them already. Now on floor 8

The pour for each floor appears to occur over two days: the first day the floor itself, the second day the core and, perhaps, the columns.

Work on the 8th floor is starting. Sorry about the lack of pictures lately. I moved offices and keep forgetting to go up and take shots from the same POV.

That pic is as good as it gets. Great shot and timely.

Yeah, given you can see the crane cab right at the level of the floor, I'd expect a crane jump soon as well.

And another one from about 80 feet up

i might be mistaken, but it looks like there's only one more full-floor pour remaining on this building. after that, each floor is going to only cover a portion of the current footprint.

I thought there was going to be 11 floors of the full footprint.

Eight floors could explain why they haven't bothered to raise the crane..

Most of the info currently on the Park Tower website points to 11, but the fly-through video shows only 8, so double

Wasn't this building's design changed about a year or so back? Perhaps that is where the confusion is coming from.

edit: Page 4 Post #71 It seems is when the 11 floor base came to be.

Actually, on second thought, my comment doesn't make sense. The crane should continue to rise, regardless of 8 or 11 floors, since it will continue to rise with the steel floors.

Whoops! When I wasn't looking they poured the 8th floor and have the forms for either the 9th floor (if the podium is 11 floors) or the podium roof (if it's 8) halfway up. They've also put up some scaffolding-style construction stairs on the exterior corner of the podium where the main tower won't be (to me, that hints a tiny bit that maybe the podium is as high as it will get: 8 floors).

The rebar for the columns is extending straight up several feet above the forms (above the construction workers' heads). My guess is that if this were the roof, the rebar would be bent at 90 degree angles at a much lower point.

They also really need to raise the crane, as they've been working *around* it now for several days.
