That's coming along pretty nicely.
Definitely a great addition to the Exchange District Campus. |
Looking good.
One question. I thought the new building was going to go over top the old building to include the vacant lot to the east? |

Ya I see that. I thought during the initial announcement there was something about teat other lot being included.
Either way, will be a great addition to the neighbourhood. |

I'm impressed with the way the new contemporary architecture is being matched with the existing older building. While they are vastly different styles, to my eye they seem to "fit" well together, and in the area as a whole.
Am I just being a hopeless civic booster (guilty) or does our new downtown construction seem to fit extremely well with older existing buildings? It seems like new construction always used to look extremely out of place next to some of our elegant older buildings, but now the combination of contemporary design and older structures seems to "work" for me. Has anyone else noticed this, or am I delusional? |
I agree except for the alt hotel and Mitchell Copp jewelers

Yes, it would have been better if it had actually been used as the main entrance, but I think we'll be glad in the future that they did what they did with it. |
