Beautiful photos. Brings back some good memories of my trip in 1982. Really looks about the same, even 38 years later. Beautiful little town. Had a very nice time there and in Boston. It was a business trip initially to New Haven, but we spent several days just having fun.

Nice pictures!
My uncle lives in Orleans, which is a few towns south, just above the elbow. He is a lobsterman. I am guessing, based on what he always tells me, that there was the remnants of a hurricane hundreds of miles offshore. Late September is perfect or that, obviously. As a lobsterman, hurricanes that stay offshore are worse for him, because they stir up the ocean and create a ton of turbulence, which is tough for him to do his job in. I've only been to Provincetown once, despite going to Cape Cod almost every summer to visit my uncle. It was actually last year. I wouldn't have even gone then, but my friend and I were going to the Beachcomber for some beers, and it was closed for a private event that Saturday night. I want to go up into the Pilgrim's Monument, and walk to the very tip of the cape. You can see the Pilgrim's Monument from Rock Harbor in Orleans, by the way. |
Ahhhhh.. the Red Inn.
Great lobster happy hour :) |
New England is utterly gorgeous.

Well that is depressing. Not the pictures, which are fabulous, but what they represent to me; namely that my husband and I are probably cancelling our trip this summer. We go almost every year. Last time we didn't go was 2015, I think.
LOVE that town! And the Red Inn....sigh. Thanks for the great pictures that make me sad. |
Fantastic set!

The town with that arcade looks a little more extensive than my preconception of it.

I clicked on this expecting Providence, but Provincetown is nice too. :P
