NEW YORK | CitySpire Center | 814 FT / 248 M | 75 FLOORS | 1987
Doesn't seem to have much of a spire.
If you look at it from the side, its really narrow for its height. it looks like an 800 foot spire
Considering its height, you'd think you'd notice it more often. The location[generally] is awesome, however.
Exquisitely proportioned...seems this building gets lost in the skyline. Hard to believe it's actually taller than Chase Manhattan or PanAm. It might be the most obscure 800'+ tower in the city.
Ah, one of my favorite New York Buildings, really dose get lost in the skyline, but makes an impressive cluster with The Metropolitan and Caranagie Hall Tower.

i remember 4 years back when i first visited manhattan i had never heard of this building and was amazed by how tall it was. I kept thinking, 'it can't be so damn tall if i've never heard of it'
probably the most obscure unknown in the US. I like it.
its ok. But im in love with the Carnegie Hall Tower across the street
I think they are on the same block actually. But I may be wrong...
Actually Cityspire is on the southside of 56th street and right across from it is Carnegie Hall and Metropolitan Towers on the northside of 56th thus the close cluster we've all grown to know and love.
Looking up between Cityspire, Carnegie hall Tower and Metropolitan tower is one of the most exhilirating experiences New York can provide, and that's saying a lot.
Interesting shape. Nice top. I like this one
Looks very stately. It's always nice to see something decent and tall that came out of the 80s; it kind of restores my faith a little.
