Ug this building is so hideous, one of the worst on ASUs campus. Predock also did the Arizona Science Center in Downtown Phoenix, its very similar to this and equally brutalist, ugly and ill fitting for its setting and climate. That guy is one of my least favorite 'starchitects.'

HooverDam, I agree that the ASU Art Museum is an unfriendly edifice! I have a few photos of his Arizona Science Center, which was under renovation when I visited last November:

I agree that it's good when museums are used to give a new lease of life to an old building, and use the building almost as one of the exhibits. This train museum in Swindon, England is housed in an old train factory.
