This building in San Diego (which is rapidly revealing itself to be a goldmine) is to be quite frank horrific.

This is the same building folks, talk about ridiculous design. a bunch of design elements thrown into one because they are "modern". The poo and pee portion is still a mystery to me :shrug:.

The face would stop a clock, and the back end is just as ugly.

I never thought the Longaberger basket building was that bad-it just looks very much like one of their baskets. The problem is now the company is gone, so who is going to use the building?

Taking the handles off would be a good start at least.

The basket building is unbelievably awesome. It is a piece of pop art. If it were some half-assed attempt at a basket it would be hilariously bad, but it is so well executed it is ridiculous. Do something and do it well. It's a shame the company has disappeared on it,but the story says you could own the building for probably around a million dollars now.

Farmers Market and local business incubator? Parks and recreation offices?

The college town I currently reside in (Tempe, Arizona) is experiencing a boom, but I cringe every time I drive by these two offenders:

We have greens, grays, and exposed concrete all clashing with each other. They recently added another wing and painted it a blue gradient for whatever reason:

The frustrating part is the north facing facade isn't actually that bad...however this side literally faces a small mountain and is completely obstructed while the rest of it is highly visible and towers over the surrounding neighborhood.

Seconded on the basket. One of my favourite buildings in Ohio.

Yuck what a disgusting pair of disgusting uggos. The Poo and Pee Marriott is a special kind of awful. University House has a twin in Toronto called Campusone.

I actually love that. I really find mid century churches to be one of the most underrated forms of architecture.

Irregularly placed windows can look alright in small doses. This though looks awkward and awful and gives me anxiety. Every bit as oppressive as bad brutalism.
