Really, really like the glass on this one

I agree it’s a beauty. I really hope they can pull off some finesse with that clunker of a podium, though.

I would like to see this glass in the "layered cake" style like trump. It would almost give it a cork screw feel more with the extra rotation.

Looks like about 14 more floors to go...

I counted the same. This thing is going to look like a beast driving down the kennedy. I hope this stays the average height or taller and we keep getting proposals lining halsted. They gotta get going on the east side of the expressway. I would have thought it would be easier to aquire land, get approval and fill up apartments on that side of the kennedy than the west side being even closer to the loop. I suppose they could use another jewel, target and walgreens in walking distance on that side.

This is turning out fast and that glass!

Stunner.....

Last crane jump has to be coming pretty soon with about 12-13 floorplates to go if I'm counting correctly.

Glass is super overrated.

Keep in mind the glass will not look as good as it will when the building is complete for several reasons. The effect will only truly work well when the whole building is glassed, and glass tends to have a weird look to it when not finished on an insulated building. I've noticed this during the last few projects. 150 N Riverside for example, the glass looked very wonky for the first 30 floors or so, but now it's a stunner

230Roberto Mar 11, 2018 6:44 PM

The glass looks very blur and ugly. We'll have to wait and see it finish in order to test your theory.

marothisu Mar 11, 2018 7:20 PM

The last picture is the first picture I've seen like that (blur) - all the others when they're very crisp pictures are the complete opposite. I haven't seen it in real life yet so I can't judge but I'll be surprised if it's like that last pic in real life.

^ In person (driving along the Kennedy or West on Madison) the glass looks great, IMO.

Yeah, that's the exact "wonky" look I'm referring to that makes me not concerned. We'll see pretty soon if I'm right or wrong as the building is gonna top off in a less than 3 months I'd bet

Snagged this shot after shooting some client work from the opposite side of the Presidential Towers parking deck tonight.

Beautiful as always, nick. Has there been any night time renderings of this one? I think a light component would do this one nicely. A dim blue like OMP could be interesting along the roof. Nothing too overwhelming.
