Best San Antonio Skyline View
 

I have two places where I think the you can see the best San Antonio skyline view. One is on 281 south past Hildebrand, and the other is coming in on IH 35 towards downtown and getting on the I10 lane. Any others?:cheers:

I drive 281 south every day for work and I've always enjoyed the view just past Hildebrand. :tup:

Raul's Photography can get great shots of the SA skyline from atop The Bushnell Apartments building in Monte Vista.:tup:

I would love to get on the top of the Bushnell, but I don't have any contacts to get up on the roof. I did get one years ago when I shot a wedding there, but I have a way better camera now then I did back then.

With Forst and a few others proposed, the right side of that view could fill up a bit in 3 or 4 years.

This excludes the TOA, Marriott Rivercenter, and the Grand Hyatt but in this area of downtown you can just imagine what it will look like if the Frost Bank Tower, JMJ, Cambria, Canopy by Hilton, & Thompson Hotel all get built.

As far as good views of DT, I've always like the Old Hwy 90 overpass that goes over Hwy 90, on the far West side. It's far away, but with a good zoom lens, makes a good pic.

Also, again Hwy 90, as it goes over Nogalitos Street. You see the surface street heading into the heart of Downtown.

Not easy spots for picture taking, to be sure, but makes for nice drives.

That would be a great place for some solar panels. They can make 'em look like terrazzo tiles or anything these days.

Does anybody with a nice camera have access to the Broadway in Alamo Heights?

This photo could use an update. Frost will be somewhat visible on the right, and The Arts and Hilton Canopy will be very visible too once they're built.

If anyone out there has the access to the Bushnell and the Broadway. I would be glad to take the photos to update the skyline. I was already starting to plan an update soon. Were about to lose all the green trees because of winter, so it has to be done soon, or not till next spring for a beautiful shot.

Although night shots are actually better in the winter because as the sun sets earlier, you get a nice mix of office and residential lights simultaneously.

You are so correct on that JACKinBeantown. Everything is clear in the air after numerous cold fronts blowing into the city in the winter, and all the night lights downtown just shine so brightly because of that!:cheers:

I'm guessing the Robert B. Green building has a great view of downtown.
