Hell yea!

I audibly "ooooooooooo'd" Denver will not be left behind in the skyscraper boom! Build it!

Denver needs a new tallest more than anywhere else and not another squat, uninteresting, boxy building. This building is elegant, doesn't have a flat roof, and would be a perfect fit with its location in the center of the skyline. Let's hope that this comes to fruition!

I had to go digging for details on this one and found out the architect is Carlos Ott ! He has designed towers for Miami such as Echo Brickell & Muse.

This is a very nice design and kudos to Denver !

Always a fan of new tallests. Design is quite splendid. If built, this will dethrone the Republic Plaza.

Can't wait to see renders of this one!

No way this is only 800 ft. If it is, the renderings are completely off scale. The rendering shows a building that is clearly between 900 and 1000 feet. It dwarfs the 700 + foot Republic Plaza in those renderings. That being said, what an awesome design, and future iconic tower for the Mile High City.

ltsmotorsport Sep 27, 2017 3:14 AM

Yeah, this thing is easily rendered at close to 1000'. Not that anyone should be complaining; that design is awesome.

mhays Sep 27, 2017 5:19 AM

Marketing renderings commonly show a building out of scale vs. neighboring buildings. It's odd of course.

Here's a link from Denver's 9news.

KevinFromTexas Sep 27, 2017 6:09 AM

Yeah, that sure looks taller than 800 feet. Not to mention it has 75 floors.

Prezrezc Sep 27, 2017 4:41 PM

It does what that 8th Avenue Place in Calgary does equally well: evoke from the surrounding mountains.

I wa going to slightly criticize the slight assymetricality if the tower's lower half; but it precisely makes the point above.

Good luck from NYC metro.

Very, very nice proposal and one that will break Denver's rather boxy skyline.

Bobias Sep 28, 2017 3:27 PM

The website has the building updated to be 90 stories and many of the news orgs are saying 1000 ft now!!

Denver is finally getting a super tall!

Also, the new design looks like the Tower of Mordor, but I digress.

If approved by the city, this proposed 90-story structure would be the tallest building in Denver
Building not yet in city’s review pipeline but developer says it is ‘100 percent going forward’

Greenwich Realty Capital on Wednesday released details for a 90-story high-rise it plans to construct at 650 17th St., in the heart of Denver’s central business district. The mixed-use structure, Six Fifty 17, would be greater than 1 million square feet in size. It would feature 284 luxury condos, a hotel, 22,000 square feet of retail space and 500 parking spots.

Greenwich co-founder and managing partner Michael Ursini said the structure would be 1,000 feet tall, which is 286 feet taller than Denver’s current loftiest structure, the 714-foot, 56-story Republic Plaza, 370 17th St.

Oh hell yes, well done Denver, hope this thing pulls through :)
