It is slowly making an impact on the skyline (that's the view from my living room window)

Very Unique. I like it. The indents and overhangs make the construction look like the floors are sloped.

This buiding rocks! :jester: (sorry, I couldn't resist the pun.) Seriously, this is an awesome building, and I can't wait to see the façade once it's installed. Please post more pics with progress! Thanks!

Cool! It's going to look like a mini-mountain when done.

Anyone else notice the Alexander Calder sculpture from Chicago in the render?

I was thinking the same thing...wonder if it is some kind of reference I am missing out on?

While I find it visually interesting, i have to say I'm not entirely a fan of it. I prefer smoother designs.

Thats a nice cluster forming... is that in the city centre?

Stratosphere 2020 Nov 8, 2007 1:12 AM

Very nice, but isn't the Amsterdam office market still very saturated? I remember the office market was so saturated 2 years ago, that they had to convert empty new office buildings into student housing.

Great building!

I will take some new photos during the next few days. The cladding has already reached the 8th floor.

No it's in a district called Zuid, about 4-5km south of the city centre. I don't think highrises would ever be allowed in the Amsterdam city centre.

Not really. Both the residential and the office markets are booming and Amsterdam is full of cranes.

Huge update from today. The core you can see next to 'The Rock' is the UN Studio Office Tower (see the rendering below)
