There's a lot of construction shots in this article, mostly at the end.

Looking great, I can't wait to see the result.

Plans were submitted to the HDRC of section 1.3 (Nueva to Cezar Chavez) and section 2 (Guadalupe to S. Alamo)

I like it!!!! |
OMG, I can't believe the power line is even featured in the rendering. Can someone please propose to bury those power lines by that ruby city.

Yeah, the time for burying that would have been when Ruby City was under construction. I can't see them doing anything now since all of that area is finished. I'd rather our tax dollars go to something else....Also, there are always a ton of big turtles in that creek, I hope they are still there after all the work.

A nice, lengthy article about the potential and partially realized economic impact of the creek development, with lots of info about ongoing and potential building developments. Included was one piece of disappointing news: Quote:

This project is a HUGE game changer for downtown SA!!!:yes::tup: |
Progress on the Westside Creeks Restoration Project took a small step forward.
https://www.bizjournals.com/sananton...Pos=6#cxrecs_s "President Joe Biden has allocated more than $2.3 million in his proposed budget to help fund San Antonio’s Westside Creeks Ecosystem Restoration Project. ...The funding will support preconstruction engineering and design work, according to the San Antonio River Authority, which is sponsoring the project along with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers." |
When is this project projected to be completely completed?

Is their plan to build it all the way to or across I35?

I was being entirely serious with my answer to an entirely serious question. In all likelihood it WILL be 15-20 years more. We’ve still got a few years left of the currently under construction phases, and two more phases still in planning that, cumulatively, are larger than everything already finished or currently in construction. The final phase being significantly more complex than any of the others, as well. The park and all of its phases aren’t fully funded (though mostly so), and politicians have been tinkering around the margins of the plans for a decade now. There’ve already been delays to do with cost, and to do with historic finds, which prolongs the construction process of course (and anyone who thinks we were gonna run into these problems wasn’t being clear eyed at the start—it should be reasonably expected that we’d have these problems). Really, I wanna ask you: was YOUR response to ME necessary? Frankly, your comment is the rude one. |
