This will translate into rental yield of about 6% to 7% per annum, he told the press after the mall's retail launch on Friday, Aug 6. MRCB and Pelaburan Hartanah Bhd (PHB) are jointly developing the mall on a 51:49 basis. The mall will have a net lettable area of about 650,000 sq ft, spread over roughly 270 stores, said PHB CEO Kamalul Arifin Othman. Anchor tenants Parkson Corporation and Golden Screen Cinemas were unveiled at the retail launch. They will occupy 138,000 sq ft and almost 50,000 sq ft respectively. The mall is scheduled to open in March 2012. http://i763.photobucket.com/albums/x...a354fe60_o.png http://i763.photobucket.com/albums/x...81ee3505_o.jpg __________________ |

MRCB spent RM4m on KL Sentral facelift[/SIZE][/B]
http://www.thesundaily.my/sites/defa..._13424_640.jpg Posted on 25 April 2013 - 05:37am Soo Wern Jun sunbiz@thesundaily.com KUALA LUMPUR (April 25, 2013): Malaysian Resources Corp Bhd's (MRCB) unit Semasa Sentral Sdn Bhd, which is currently carrying out refurbishment and upgrading works at Stesen Sentral Kuala Lumpur (KL Sentral) here in stages, has spent some RM4 million out of its RM13.8 million budget over three years on the exercise. MRCB group COO Imran Salim (pix) said to date, completed upgrading works include the restrooms, overall station lighting, safety surveillance, flooring tiles and the VIP lounge at the transportation hub. "We intend to speed up (the remaining) upgrading works at KL Sentral and complete the construction of the Nu Sentral retail mall, which will enhance the level of convenience for commuters in line with other ongoing development works in the overall KL Sentral CBD," Imran told a press conference yesterday. MRCB is aiming to complete the construction of Nu Sentral two to three months earlier than the group had previously targeted of end-2013. The seven-storey retail mall, which is a 51:49 joint venture between MRCB and Pelaburan Hartanah Bhd, is being built concurrently with the refurbishment and upgrading works at KL Sentral, which began in September 2011, "The upgrading proposals have been presented to the relevant authorities to cater for the long-term use of the station as an increased number of commuters and patrons is expected (to commute from KL Sentral) when the mass rapid transit (MRT) line is in operation." Under the upgrading works, MRCB will also revamp the internal and external signage at KL Sentral to reduce confusion once Nu Sentral opens its doors. "We are targeting to finish this in one or two months," said Imran. To increase the convenience and comfort of pedestrians and commuters, MRCB will also construct six pedestrian bridges linking KL Sentral with Nu Sentral, Sooka Sentral, Q Sentral, Platinum Sentral, and the monorail and MRT stations. Two new blocks of the Sentral Residences will also be linked to KL Sentral with a sky bridge. "Patrons to KL Sentral may notice that the improvements are not implemented in all parts of the transportation hub as we (MRCB) do not have control of the entire premise. Other parties involved in KL Sentral include Express Rail Link Sdn Bhd, Syarikat Prasarana Negara Bhd and Keretapi Tanah Melayu Bhd. "(As such,) upgrading works are done accordingly to scheduled plans by the respective companies," Imran added. More: http://www.thesundaily.my/news/679329 |
