And a few photos from this past weekend from in and around mostly deserted Andersonville and Lincoln Square

whoa epic thread.
great scenes and i really liked the style and the change of seasons. you are definitely back in it to win it. |
holy shit...
i'm required to hate chicago on principle but your photos kind-of make me want to live there. also, my spouse and i stayed at 69 (um... ha?) a couple years ago. really nice little hostel. can't recall the name, though. 69. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/...8bdf0b96_c.jpg |
Wow!
You out did yourself what a great tour of such a beautiful city. Who wouldn’t fall in love with Chicago viewing these photos. |
Got to be the best Chicago thread of all time! Spectacular variety of seasons, commercial, residential and public spaces.
Great job! |
Magnificent! I left Chicago in 2011 (sad face). Did the city seem different after your break from it? What were the positives and negatives? Again spectacular photos.
|
Remarkable set of photos!
|
Really great set. Thank you.
|
Wow that is quite some tour. Great job man! To me Chicago is my kind of city. The only thing it is possibly missing is mountains. What a great world city.
|
Great set - you really covered a lot of ground and all four seasons.
|
This is possibly the best Chicago photo thread I've ever seen.
I went to college right outside Chicago in the '90s and have been back maybe 10 times since. Not a single time have I not liked it more than the time before. It's insane that this city gets a bad rap in certain circles. |
Good Lord... this was an incredibly epic photo tour. Thank you for all of the time and energy and effort it must have taken to put this all together! Not to mention that your photography skills are phenomenal! You captured nearly all the best elements of the city perfectly. Cheers!
|
Thanks everyone! I just love walking around this city. So many great neighborhoods to explore!

What an epic thread! Thanks for posting
We get a lot of downtown threads here, but the neighborhoods are the "chicago" nearest and dearest to my heart, and you captured so many of them so beautifully here in all of their spectacular seasonal glory. |
Incredible thread! Wow.
|
Seriously, man, this is an EPIC Chicago thread. Probably the best one we've had on here in a long, long time.
It also makes me yearn for the pre-Pandemic life.... |
hey now, am i seeing the highline inspired bloomingdale trail up there?
maybe you or someone can do an end to end tour of that sometime? i would love that. |
Nice! There's some great pictures! I like how you went by the seasons, too!
