Had the privilege of going up. I'll post more later for the topping out.

You can see two large cranes from on top of the hill on Hildebrand by Trinity.

In the third picture, there is a white high-rise building just north of UIW.
I think that's the building where Tom Benson has his 12,000+ sq ft condo. |

I couldn't tell you if AH includes the UIW campus, or if it bisects it, exactly where it runs. A while back I remember an article in the Excess-News about a dust-up over water/sewer connections for a construction project for the nun's retirement community on the north half of the campus. Something about it being in San Antonio but the water/sewage connections being in AH, or vice-versa. UIW is in 78209, but that doesn't mean it's in AH. Apparently Zip codes aren't contiguous with city boundaries. I'm involved in some investment property just east of AHISD's 'Junior School' (their middle school) in 78209 and it is absolutely in the city of San Antonio. |

This is to be the new dining facility for the Air Force and Navy students. http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3444/...30e0a5.jpg?v=0 New dorms across from old Clinic. http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3078/...d0f55e.jpg?v=0 more dorms http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3348/...a6f26f.jpg?v=0 Cranes at BAMC/SAMMC-N http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3300/...c839b8.jpg?v=0 (Bad) Map of pics I took:METC 1,2, Dining Facility and Dorms. The only ones that have not been started are the two square purple buildings near the center. The bottom right corner purple buildings are the dorms, the left corner purple squares up top are the ones under construction now with the cranes. The larger rectangular purple building is the DiFac. http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3099/...b58bf6.jpg?v=0 There is alot more construction going on there; a couple of HQ buildings, The new gym, chapel, renovations galore, and the new Clinic. |
Thanks for the update, looks like most of it is low-rise on the post itself, but hopefully all of the new jobs coming in will create demand for nearby housing (meaning, urban and multi-family)
|
We should be expecting a topping out event sometime in the near future as The Broadway tower has reached its highest floor now (20th).
