I don't think anyone could hate this development, even if it's in the suburbs. Things I really like are the grid like layout, the numerous parking garages, the center plaza, the fact that many of the office buildings will be 10-stories or higher and that one of the two hotels will be a new to the market high end brand.

Sadly I must bump this thread.

^ Looks decent.

sirkingwilliam Oct 24, 2007 5:48 AM

Those are crappy pictures of The Shops, but it is a very nice place. By crappy I just mean in the first one you have a bunch of trees cluttering up the middle view and in the second, that area of the mall is basically the entrance way to the food hall and all the stores in that area are generic mall stores, FYE, Sephora, Claires, etc.

I'm impressed how fast and accurately sirkingwilliam finds information! I'm not sure there has been a public announcement about name change, nor posting of new master plan concept for The Landmark. Good work!

ScizzoTX Oct 29, 2007 5:41 AM

^^^ Seriously! Where in the world do you get all of your info, sirkingwilliam?

arbeiter Oct 29, 2007 4:03 PM

looks decent, but all of that green space in the aerial shot saddens me, i'm sure it'll be gone in no time. any details on the exact design of the residential portion? seems like it is similar to domain, only without rail access.

sirkingwilliam Oct 30, 2007 12:56 AM

Actually, there's a rail line just east of The Landmark, you can see it in the second rendering. It's at the top right, just right of the future overpass for Vance Jackson. Nothing proposed for it now but in the future you never know. With La Joya being built adjacent to The Landmark and bordering that rail line, it would be logical to have a future site for a light rail station there.

La Joya

Which is what both The Landmark and La Joya will both bring, I believe.

Drove by The Landmark site and they're making quit progress in construction. I'm quite excited.

Theres been a huge ass sign on the property reading "the landmark" for some time now....i think its around the 4th or 5th big ass sign with a different name i've seen on that property now. But of course what counts...dirt turning nothing. They cleared out all those trees way too soon......i'd rather see a bunch of trees for a few more years than barren land...
