Such a wonderful experience! A great view! How i whish I was technology savvy enough to post my pics 😔. Oh well. The ticket person was very nice! She gave me the local discount even though I live across the river! Wonderful staff & a very clean building indeed. A must visit!!!!

Sorry for resurrecting this one, but anyone know the story about the spire? The original spire looked fully integrated into the design and came to a sharp point. Now it looks like something that was added on, with that weird section in the middle, and definitely not 'sharp' at the top. Was there an entirely new spire added at some point?

They added two sets of broadcasting equipment on the spire, the lower set with the X shape was added in 1992 and the top set was added in 2002. The spire is the same exact one as constructed, I do not like the chunky look it currently has because of the equipment, I love the spire bare like it was from 1987-1992. Only if they could remove the broadcasting equipment and light up the stubby spire of 2 Liberty

Observation Deck Permnantely Closed

One Liberty Observation Deck has been permanently closed to the public and this comes a year after an indefinite closure was announced. The closure came due to the drop in visitor numbers due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. The attraction had become a popular tourist attraction for Philadelphia since it opened in November 2015. Hopefully, someone will step in and reopen the observation deck.
