Apparently, I can't just post a thumbs up. So here is some rambling nonsense text to allow the posting of the above thumbs ups.

I guess we will need someone else to monitor spelling for the Manitoba sections? I'm still concerned about the professionalism (or lack there of on too many occasions) that is portrayed by the Winnipeg/Manitoba threads here.

Isn't this the job of the moderator.

Capital letters and punctuation when necessary will also help. If these and at least a try at proper Canadian-English spelling aren't followed by a moderator, it'll be hard to be respected. Post count doesn't automatically earn you respect. Sorry to be so blunt.

Yes! Congrats AJ! :D

Spelling and post count have nothing to do with being chosen as a moderator. It's based on a history of positive contributions to the forum, showing good judgement and being nominated and recommended by your peers.

I'm talking about being respected, not being a moderator. I for one, don't respect people who don't at least try to use proper spelling and grammar. That's just in my nature, and I'm sure I'm not alone.

It seems kind of petty to hold spelling abilities against someone.
