SAN ANTONIO │ Bright Shawl Development │ 5 FLOORS │ U/C
This goes to HDRC on the 19th. Five floors with ground floor retail.
|
Not groundbreaking, but aesthetically classic... and retail.
If this gets started soon, it could be in Frost's northeast webcam. |
More infill and density.
I strongly wish that HEB would consider a second "SoFlo"-like store for the River North/Tobin Hill/Pearl/Lower Broadway residents. The residential density in that area is blowing up and there isn't a store nearby that the residents can reach by foot in 10 minutes or less. |

HDRC gave final approval to this a few minutes ago with a stipulation that they work on garage screening.

Bright Shawl has been demolished. Only thing that remains are the historical structures and it appears they are going to move them.

AUGUSTA APARTMENTS
Looks like this project pulled construction permits in April per the Bizjournal. There were about 4 permits shown for a total of around $27MM. https://www.bizjournals.com/sananton...ine#g/453965/9 It also looks like they will be called the Augusta Apartments. "Augusta Apartments The largest of the four CCHIP applicants, the 260-unit Augusta Apartments will be on a nearly 2.3-acre city block enclosed by Augusta and Dallas streets and Brooklyn and McCullough avenues. Being developed by Dallas-based Stillwater Capital, the mostly market-rate project has already been approved by the HDRC and is expected to be complete by July 2021. -13 units reserved for families earning less than 80 percent of area median income -$112,601 in city fee waivers -$846,755 in SAWS fee waivers -15-year rebate of a portion of City property taxes paid by the developer, of which 25 percent will go directly into a new fund for future affordable housing developments -Developer tax rebate estimated at $154,300 the first year -Affordable Housing Fund contribution estimated at $51,400 the first year" |
They've made a lot of progress on this project. Last weekend I drove by and saw a crane and one to two floors of garage and apartments up already.
