This is a multi use project already under construction just south of the river in the Brickell District.

Brickell Financial Center Phase One : A 40 story / 517 ft. office tower.
Brickell Financial Center Phase Two : A multi use project segemented into 3 sections with the two tallest towers reaching 903 feet / 68 stories. Phase Two will consist of office, condos & a hotel.

This one flew under the radar but it is U/C now and will be Miami's tallest buildings at 903 feet. The twin towers have been dubbed the rabbit ears!

Great for Miami. I wonder what the cladding will be like on those lower floors. From those night renders, it looks like polished granite and glass, but it's had to tell. Anything shiny to offset some of those painted concrete towers will do a lot to balance out the Miami skyline, which is being dominated by condo towers right now.

Wow, where did this come from? This is a new tallest by far for Miami, and there hasn't been a word on it.

No kidding. I've never heard of this one. It looks very Arquitectonica.

I'm assuming though the taller tower has not begun construction yet. Right?

It's a tuning fork! Or a taser. Looks cool I guess, though I've never been a fan of buildings that split. Love the height.

Correct. They're starting with the smaller and it's more or less a wait and see on the 2nd tower. They seem to be moving very fast on this project however.

Yea this is for sure the tallest I've seen come out of there for a while. Except for that twin tower proposal.

Are there any updates on the construction of this tower, also whats the status on the second tower?

I love it! This is miami's version of new york's boom in the 1920's!

the first tower is under construction but have not heard anymore info on the second. Below is a construction pic of the first one with the orange netting:

Is phase 2 definetly gonna be a go? if so does anybody have an update on it?

^ Unfortunately it will likely never be built with the market the way it is now.

Well i heard it is a go as soon as phaseI is complete in late 2009.:tup:

phase 1 is currently at floor 20 thats the fastest rising tower i have ever seen in miami.
