Skyline Pictures
I am surprised there isn't a thread dedicated strictly to Skylines yet. So here I go. I will start off with what I am sure is a relatively underwhelming skyline compared to what I will hopefully see. But it is a start.
I took this last night during a walk. Winnipeg, MB. http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8041/8...87e8d664_k.jpg |
Ok, we'll give it a try.
With two conditions please... One pic per post, one post per member. That means you get to pick one city to rep and one pic to do it with. Choose wisely! The moment thread devolves into a city vs city pissing match, the thread goes away. |
Please make sure to properly credit all photos by posting the photographer's name when available with a link to the website page where you found them. If you cannot do that, then please only post a link to them.
If you've posted any photos on the forum recently that are not your own and you did not follow the rules above, please go back and edit your post or it will be deleted. |

Probably one of my favorite Philadelphia shots of the skyline.. it doesn't get all of it, and personally I like seeing the gorgeous Cira Center in the skyline shot, but it's a great photo regardless.

One of the best I've ever seen. I've linked to this photo before because I love it so.

Toronto
http://urbantoronto.ca/sites/default...6407-20684.jpg By stanthechanman Note the tall building in the middle of the skyline (Aura) was editted in, it's still under construction, the image shows how tall it will be when completed. |
I hate those threads with 5 pics per post. This is more MY style.

I'm gonna guess that the Toronto pic was taken from Humber Bay park.

Well, this ain't fair! I represent three cities in the same region. Well, here it goes (since I'm only allowed one photo) for Southern Ohio!

What the hell is the line running all the way across the reservoir in Central Park? Never seen that before, I've been there multiple times and never saw it... It looks weird.

Here is a pic of Boston that I took last December

Here's two cities in one photo: SF and Oakland.

Edit: Nah, that looks like the Hackensack River/Newark Bay behind it, and Newark would be on the far side of that water. |
Looks more like that highrise area south of Journal Square in Jersey City.

Lots of rep for Detroit. Here's one I took from a parking garage.

I was going to post a photo of my little city, and feel a little silly since Detroit is already overrepresented, but I could get by without posting this shot of the skyline peaking out over the enclave of Hamtramck...

Can't think of too many pics that say "Miami" more than this one:

That really makes Miami look impressive. The skyline has come a long way during the recent boom.
