This tower is officially under construction. Milwaukee will soon be home to the tallest mass timber tower on Earth.

That's crazy! And the building doesn't look like a timber building, at least from the rendering. Hoping to see pictures of this being built. Very interested in what that looks like.

Downtown Milwaukee seems to be a very charming place and apparently it's regarded highly for its inhabitants way before "flight back to city" to become a trend. It's in a better shape and more populated than the ones of cities much bigger (Cleveland or Detroit).

The Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra celebrated the completion of their Bradley Symphony Center with a live performance on October 2. The $89 million project began in June 2018. It centered around the restoration of the original 1930's Warner Grand Theater movie palace, along with the adjacent office tower renovation and three distinct additions. Milwaukee PBS aired a special on it - pretty neat stuff, including the deepening of the stage by physically moving the existing historic exterior façade closer to the street behind (also shown in the video below, around the 6 minute mark) -
